Booster Pump for Water Purifier in RO Water Purifier

Ⅰ. The role of RO booster pump for water purifier

The function of the RO water pump is to increase the pressure of the incoming water to a certain pressure and to achieve a certain flow at the same time, thus meeting the requirements of RO membrane water production.

Ⅱ. The working principle of RO booster pump for water purifier

Turn on the power to make the motor rotate, and under the action of the eccentric swing wheel, the rotary motion of the motor is converted into reciprocating motion. The eccentric swing wheel and the water-pulling bracket assembly (including: diaphragm, plastic cam) are closely connected as a whole, so the movement of the water-pulling bracket assembly is also a reciprocating motion.

Since the sealing directions of the large suction cup and the small suction cup are opposite, a vacuum effect is formed when the water-pulling bracket assembly moves from top to bottom, and the small suction cup is opened under the action of the vacuum suction and the water is also sucked into the pressurizing chamber; When the motor runs to a certain angle, the movement direction of the water-pulling bracket assembly is changed, and the water-pulling bracket assembly changes from the original top-down movement to the bottom-up movement, squeezing the suctioned water upwards. Because the small suction cup is in the positive closed state at this time, the water can only be discharged in the direction of the high pressure chamber.

When the extrusion pressure (compression force) is greater than the reaction force of the large suction cup, the large suction cup is opened and the water is also sent out to the high pressure chamber. In this way, through the continuous operation of the motor, the water-pulling bracket assembly continuously reciprocates to accomplish the purpose of sucking and supplying water.

Ⅲ. Main technical indicators of RO booster pump for water purifier

Mainly include: power (including: working voltage, working current), working pressure, working flow and water inlet pressure.

Ⅳ. The common failure of RO booster pump for water purifier

Mainly include: no self-priming, low boost pressure, large working current, small working flow, large or small sealing pressure, water leakage from the pump head, weak rotor (stuck), abnormal noise, etc.

Ⅴ. Reasons and treatment methods for common faults of RO booster pump for water purifier

1. The reason for not self-priming: usually caused by the poor sealing performance of the large and small suction cups. For example, the hardness of the large and small suction cups is wrong, or there are burrs or other granular debris that jam the large and small suction cups so that the contact with the water outlet pressure plate does not match, resulting in air leakage.

Treatment method: Choose a suction cup with suitable hardness and remove burrs or sundries.

2. Reasons for low boost pressure: It is usually caused by poor sealing performance of the pump head and too soft elasticity of the pressure relief spring.

Treatment method: improve the sealing performance of the pump head and select a spring with appropriate elastic force.

3. The reason for the large working current: usually the winding of the motor rotor is faulty or the rolling bearing is damaged during the installation process and the ball is stuck.

Treatment method: replace the motor rotor or replace the rolling bearing.

4. The reason for the small working flow: usually the elastic force of the pressure relief spring is too soft or the eccentric wheel is shoveled during the installation process and the eccentric angle is reduced to relieve the pressure.

Treatment method: choose a pressure relief spring with a slightly larger hardness or replace the eccentric wheel.

5. Reasons for excessive sealing pressure: usually caused by too hard elasticity of the pressure relief spring or too small pressure relief hole of the small suction cup.

Treatment method: choose a spring with a suitable elasticity and a small suction cup with a suitable aperture.

6. Reasons for too small sealing pressure: usually the elasticity of the pressure relief spring is too soft or the pressure relief hole of the small suction cup is too large.

Treatment method: choose a spring with a suitable elasticity and a small suction cup with a suitable aperture.

7. The reason for the leakage of the pump head: usually the fastening screws of the pump head are not tightened or the diaphragm is crushed during the installation process.

Treatment method: Re-tighten the fastening screws of the pump head or replace the diaphragm.

8. The reason why the rotor is weak (stuck): it is usually caused by the open circuit or short circuit of the winding of the motor rotor.

Treatment method: replace the motor rotor.
